Inter Join Chelsea In Race To Sign £70m Serie A Star

Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have joined Chelsea in the keenly contested race to sign Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa.

According to the publication from popular Italian transfer news outlet Calciomercato, Nerazzurri want to sign the highly rated Italian international midfielder.

Federico Chiesa has been in good form for his Fiorentina side for the better part of the last two years.

His quality has attracted the interest of several clubs on the European continent.

The 21-year-old has been touted as a transfer addition to the Chelsea setup under Maurizio Sarri.

He could be the man to replace the Blues talisman, Eden Hazard.

Belgian international Hazard might leave Chelsea in the summer with just one year left on his contract in the event that he does not sign a new contract at the club.

Eden Hazard has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid and the player has also talked up the prospect of a dream move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Apart from Inter Milan and Chelsea, Federico Chiesa has also been linked with a move to Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli.

He has scored five goals and provided three assists in 27 league games for his club this season.

Federico Chiesa is the son of former Italian international striker Enrico Chiesa.
