Good news to Liverpool fans, Jurgen Klopp to drop chase for £30m-rated star

Popular journalist James Pearce (of Liverpool Echo) made it known that manager Jurgen Klopp is not chasing after Besiktas defender Vida this summer, and that the manager is happy with his current crop of defenders at Anfield.

The update gave some of the fans a reason to blow a sigh of relief and to get more realistic.

Vida has been in the news consistently in recent times as a result of his links with Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The talented defender has been heavily linked with a move away from Bekitas this summer and is speculated to be on his way to Anfield.

Few hours ago, there were rumours from France that the Merseysiders have submitted a £22m bid for the Croatia international.

However, Pearce has quickly poured cold water on the claims, making it known that the club won’t be chasing after the defender this summer.

This is good news for many Liverpool supporters. Although the defender was impressive for his country in their World Cup outing in Russia, many of the fans believe Vida is still an average player who has no business at Anfield.

Manager Jurgen Klopp seems to be pleased with his current defenders – and it appears he is genuinely serious when he said he won’t sign new players anymore this summer
