Why Gary Cahill is happy for Alvaro Morata after ending his goal drought

Chelsea center back defender, Gary Cahill has revealed his excitement after Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata ended his goal drought.

The Blues played host to Hungarian side, Mol Vidi in the Uefa Europa League last night at Stamford Bridge.

Going by the match highlight, the game was quite difficult with the Blues losing some goal chances until Spain International and Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata found the back of the net to give Chelsea the much needed goal.

The Spaniard went emotional during his goal celebration with teammates joining him in the action.

However, Chelsea center back defender, Gary Cahill in a post-match statement disclosed how happy he was for Alvaro Morata to have been able to break the goal drought jinx which had held him back from scoring in previous matches.

According to Gary Cahill, the goal will help increase his confidence and hopefully he will score more goals for Chelsea.

This will be Alvaro Morata’s second goal this season, his first goal was scored against Arsenal in August in the Premier League.

Alvaro Morata has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in the January transfer window due to low performance.

If he continues scoring goals for Chelsea then he wont be leaving anytime soon.
