Pundit: Jose Mourinho Has Failed In His Use Of This Player – Not Pogba

Jose Mourinho is a wonderful manager no doubt. The Portuguese tactician has won a lot of trophies for different clubs playing in different leagues.

He came to Old Trafford last season and was able to win three trophies for the red devils – including the Europa League that brought them the Champions League ticket.

This season, although still sitting on the second spot of the premier league table, the former Chelsea boss has often been accused of not utilising his players properly.

From Herinkh Mkhitaryan to Paul Pogba, and now to Jesse Lingard. Gareth Crooks believes the Portuguese boss has failed in his use of Lingard this term.

The young midfielder has been superb recently. He scored his first goal for England during the most recent international break and was also able to get the man of the match honour after Man United’s 2-0 win over Swansea City last Saturday.

But BBC Sport pundit Crooks is not happy with the manner Mourinho is making use of the English player.

Gareth criticised Jose for using Lingard sparingly so far this season, believing the 25-year-old has to be in England’s starting XI for the World Cup in Russia.

So far this season in 24 top flight games, Jesse has scored eight times and has provided four assists to his teammates at Man United.
