French Giants open to Chelsea’s advances for this player.

Former Ligue champions, Lyon are open to the idea of selling star player Nabil Fekir when the January transfer window reopens next month.

This is according to the publication from the popular English media platform Daily Mail.

Earlier reports had revealed that the Blues were the favourites to sign Nabil Fekir and that Chelsea have already initiated talks to sign via an intermediary.

The man who is playing that role is said to be super-agent Pini Zahavi.

Nabil Fekir is one of the most exciting players on the European football stage and he has been attracting interests from several clubs.

Many European top clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have all been mooted as potential transfer destinations for the 25-year-old.

With 18 months left on his Lyon contract, Fekir has not ruled out the possibility of signing a new contract with the Champions League outfit.

The Frenchman had earlier came close to becoming a Premier League player with Merseyside giants Liverpool.

The Reds agreed to a sum of £53m for him to swap France for England only for Liverpool to pull out of a deal at the last minute because of concerns about his knee.

This was before he won the 2018 World Cup title with the French team this summer
