Finally, Mourinho says he wants star player to stay

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he wants Luke Shaw to be given a new deal at the Old Trafford as he wants to keep the player.

With a number of players in the United team having their contracts running into the last year, Mourinho says he will ensure fresh deals for them.

Marouane Fellaini who recently extended his stay at the club with a new contract would soon be joined by Shaw amongst those who are sure of remaining at the club.

The likes of Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young are also due for new contracts but the former Chelsea boss is confident of keeping the players by insisting on new deals for them also.

Mourinho stated that the story of others will end like that of Fellaini who was also in contract mess last season.

Shaw’s performance and dedication to the team is the motivating factor for Mourinho to talk about his case.

However, the Portuguese manager stated the fact that Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are not regulars in his team does not translate that they do not deserve a new deal. He has given his words on the players.
