Ex-Chelsea Midfielder Ruled Out ‘For A While’

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will be out for a while with a muscular problem in what’s a big injury blow for the Premier League champions.

The former Chelsea player was substituted as a result of the injury during the Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Saturday.

Kevin De Bruyne (KDB) suffered the injury in the second half of the Bournemouth game which Manchester City won by a lone goal.

KDB was replaced by Riyad Mahrez who scored the winning goal for the Citizens to give his side a priceless away win at the Vitality Stadium.

In his post-match press conference, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola revealed that the player (KDB) will be out of action for a while after suffering a muscular injury.

Pep Guardiola got the win that he wanted against the Cherries but it came at a cost with the injury to De Bruyne.

Manchester City defender John Stones also went off injured before being replaced by club captain Vincent Kompany.

Pep Guardiola revealed that John Stones was substituted as a precaution and that Vincent Kompany was not at 100% which explains why he didn’t start the game.

Manchester City secured the top spot on Saturday as a result of the slim win over Bournemouth.
