Done Deal: Leverkusen To Lose Liverpool Target If They Miss Out On UCL

German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen could lose a lot of their top players if they miss out on qualification for the Champions League next season.

According to trusted German newspaper SportBild, Bayer Leverkusen will need to sell their top players including Julian Brandt if they don’t finish in the top four places on the German Bundesliga table.

Leverkusen are in fifth spot and they are away from fourth-placed Borussia Moenchengladbach on goal difference ahead of the final set of games this season.

Only the top four places will guarantee Champions League football for next season.

Julian Brandt has emerged as a strong transfer target for Champions League finalists Liverpool in recent weeks with reports claiming that the Reds will make a move for him this summer.

The German international attacker is said to have a €25m release clause in his present deal at Bayer Leverkusen.

Julian Brandt would add another creative dimension to the current Liverpool squad.

It was revealed that the likes of defender Jonathan Tah, midfielder Kai Havertz, and the aforementioned Brandt will leave the club this summer in the absence of Champions League football.

Chilean international Charles Aranguiz will definitely leave the club this summer irrespective of what happens with Champions League football.
