Deal On: Spurs Lining Up £40m Bid For Chelsea Target

North London club Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a big money move for highly rated AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo according to widespread reports coming out of the British media.

Nicolo Zaniolo is widely regarded as one of the best young players in Italy and Spurs are interested in him.

The 19-Year-old has been a revelation in his first season as an AS Roma player.

According to the Daily Mirror, Spurs are ready to spend as much as £40m on Zaniolo who has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Blues have been affected by the two-window transfer ban slammed on them by FIFA and are not one of the favourites for the player.

Chelsea are still awaiting the verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) on their appeal against the transfer ban.

Apart from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, European sides like Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also in the frame to sign Zaniolo.

The young Italian midfielder joined AS Roma last summer as a makeweight in the transfer that took Radja Nainggolan to Inter Milan in a deal reported to be about £35m.

In his first season at AS Roma, Nicolo Zaniolo has scored six goals in 35 games in all competitions.
