Deal Off: No Bayern Transfer For 16-Goal Liverpool Target

RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick has ruled out a summer move to rivals Bayern Munich for one of his players.

In his recent interview monitored by Goal, Ralf Rangnick revealed that the Bavarian giants would have made a bid for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner if they were interested in him.

German Bundesliga champions are one of the numerous clubs said to be in the running to sign the aforementioned Werner.

Others like Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Champions League finalists Liverpool have been mentioned as potential transfer destination for the petite striker.

Timo Werner has one year left on his current deal with RB Leipzig and the German Bundesliga club will have to convince him to sign a new deal or risk losing him for free next summer when his current contract will expire.

German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig will have to sell him this if the player fails to agree to a new deal to prevent him from walking out of the exit door as a free transfer.

Timo Werner scored 16 goals in the just concluded German Bundesliga season and also weighed in with seven assists in 30 games to help RB Leipzig secure a return to Champions League football after a one-year absence.
