Why De Gea might leave United anytime soon

There are suggestions that Manchester United first choice goalkeeper, David de Gea might leave the Old Trafford anytime soon.

This is coming after it was reported that the United chiefs are sweating to have him sign a new deal with the club.

It has been reported that the Spanish goalkeeper wishes to leave the club as he is fed up with the controversies and bad result.

However, latest report reveals that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had wished the player was sold last season as he was unwilling to block the player’s move.

According to the Telegraph, the 27-year-old was free to leave the club last year but there was no offer as Spanish giants, Real Madrid had made up their mind against bringing him again.

Madrid had attempted to sign De Gea in 2015 but a late deal failed to happen with reports of a faulty fax machine responsible for the failed deal.

Real soon shifted their attention for the former Atletico Madrid stopper and moved for former Chelsea player Thibaut Courtois.

It has been revealed that De Gea is a United player today as a result of the board’s insistence and a refusal of offers but not for Mourinho.

It is however not clear how long the Red Devils can keep the player at the Old Trafford.
