Club President Contacts Arsenal Target Before Transfer Deadline

Barcelona president has contacted Ousmane Dembele amid speculation over a possible Arsenal move, according to reports.

The young winger has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou following the arrival of Brazilian winger, Malcom to the Barcelona, with reports that Arsenal are considering a loan move for the Frenchman.

Dembele signed for Barcelona last summer for £135.5 million but has not hit the ground running with some shaky displays which has drawn mild criticisms from some quarters.

The arrival of Malcom to Barcelona this summer could well spell doom for the French winger, who was part of his country’s national team that won the Russia 2018 World Cup earlier this summer.

Dembele has also fueled the transfer speculation after he was pictured with the Arsenal fold of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Mateo Guendouzi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

However, reports in RAC1 reveals that Barcelona club president Bartomeu has now contacted the winger that the arrival of Malcom will not jeopardise his position at the Camp Nou.

The report also claim that Barcelona are also ready to reject advances from a couple of Premier League clubs who have made their attentions known to sign Dembele before the end of transfer window on Thursday.
