Bundesliga Giants Send Message to Arsenal And Liverpool Amid Star Player’s Link

Schalke star player Leon Goretzka has been in the news recently due to his links with some top European clubs including the premier league duo of Liverpool and Arsenal.

And recently, a top official at Schalke has commented on the midfielder’s situation at the club, amid speculations linking the talented player to the English top flight.

The German player is out of contract at the Bundesliga club at the end of this season, and both Liverpool and Arsenal are understood to be interested in getting his signature.

Arsenal are confidemt to get him for free next summer, and they will be free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with him when January comes – as far as he won’t sign a new deal with other clubs.

However, the club’s sporting director Christian Heidel remains hopeful the player will change his mind and stay with them in Germany.

Speaking to German news outlet SportBild recently, Christian said Goretzka will make a decision very soon without pressuring him.

Leon has also been linked with Manchester City and Barcelona in recent times, but Heidel insists Schalke still have a chance of keeping him.

Schalke are currently sitting second on the Bundesliga table behind league leaders Bayern Munich and have been impressive this season so far.
