Chelsea Line Up World Class Replacement For Want Away Striker

Chelsea are ready to swoop on Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller as replacement for Diego Costa who might leave the club.

Reports in the Daily Express have claimed that the Blues have set the sights on bringing the German star to the Stamford Bridge, following speculations about the future of Diego Costa.

Costa has been linked with a move out of the Stamford Bridge due to his training pitch spat with Antonio Conte over fitness issues, and Tianjin Quanjin owner Shu Yuhui has revealed the Chinese club has contacted the likes of Karim Benzema and Edinson Cavani in time past but the deals fell through.

He told Tianjin Sports Channel: ‘Our club had a massive investment plan for the new season but it was tightened up by the new rules,

‘I made an appointment with Mendes and he came to my hometown to visit me. At that time, we were interested in signing Costa,’

Thomas Muller may not be a perfect replacement for the Spanish striker but his knack for scoring goals is similar to Costa.

However, Chelsea will have to stump up around £75 million to sign the German star next summer transfer window if they eventually lose Diego Costa to China or other European clubs.
