Chelsea fail in bid to convince Kyle Scott to renew contract

According to reports, Chelsea have hit a rock in talks with Kyle Scott over a new contract for him at Stamford Bridge.

This is being claimed by the Sun, who state that the youngster’s wages are not really what’s causing a delay in negotiations, with the starlet’s desire to get more regular playing time under his belt being the primary reason for there being a delay in talks.

The news publication are also stating that both Leicester City and Huddersfield are keen on the 20-year-old, so it looks like that should the present situation continue, the duo could swoop for Scott soonest.

Despite not making his senior debut for Chelsea thus far, he has still been able to impress supporters with his displays at youth level.

In 32 matches for Chelsea’s U23’s team, Scott has scored a goal and made six assists, a good record considering his young age.

He has only played two matches for Antonio Conte’s team so far this campaign, with one coming in the English Premier League 2, with the other match coming in the EFL Cup for Chelsea’s U23 team.

The youngster can play anywhere in the midfield, with the 20-year-old midfielder even being played on the left-hand flank on several occasion.
