Chelsea Closing In On Superstar Signing As Costa’s Exit Draws Closer

Borussia Dortmund star player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appears destined to play in the premier league next season with widespread speculations that premier league champions Chelsea are closing in on his signing this summer.

Chelsea have not yet sign a main man upfront ahead of next campaign after Antonio Conte told Diego Costa at the end of last season that he is not part of his plans at Stamford Bridge in the upcoming campaign.

And the Italian manager is looking set to finally end his search for a new forward this summer by bringing in Aubameyang from Dortmund.

The African striker was the top scorer in the Bundesliga last season and was able to score 40 goals in all competitions for his German club. However, he seem to be ready to play for a different club and it is understood that his club are already resigning to losing him this summer and have even stepped up their efforts to bring in a replacement for the Gabon international.

Diego Costa looks closer to moving back to his former Spanish club Atletico Madrid and did not travel with the rest of the Chelsea squad for their preseason training.

And the Daily Mirror are now saying Aubameyang is prepared to be Costa’s replacement at Chelsea despite that he has been linked with other clubs including Liverpool, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain.
