Arsenal in talks with £70million star to replace Alexis Sanchez

According to Don Balon, Arsenal are in ‘constant’ talks with Real Madrid to sign forward Karim Benzema as a good replacement for Chilean Alexis Sanchez.

The France international forward seems to be on his way out of the Spanish club after a disappointing start to the season, though the same publication claim Real Madrid still want £70million for the striker.

In another report by Don Balon, it was stated that Real Madrid believed they could get about £53million for the forward from Arsenal, but it looks like they are now not ready to go that high.

Still, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger does seem prepared on persuading Sanchez, 29, to move to Arsenal as Don Balon report ‘constant’ contact between the two club and the player.

The Daily Mirror report Alexis Sanchez is a transfer target for Paris Saint Germain as he heads towards the end of his deal with the Gunners, and Arsene Wenger will be aware of the huge task that faces him when it comes to replacing him.

The Chilean has been one of the best attackers in Europe recently, and some may question the reason why they are targeting Benzema in that attacking role after his recent decline.
