Arsenal on a revenge mission against United

Arsenal seems to be on a revenge mission with the reported interest in Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are reported to the monitoring the player who could leave the club by in January.

The Gunners interest could be a way to fight back at the Red Devils who were reported to be keeping tab on German Midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Just as it was alleged that Ozil had a bust-up with Spanish manager, Unai Emery, Bailly who has not started a game for United since the 3-2 defeat at Brighton last month is also perceived to be unhappy with Jose Mourinho.

Should United eventually move for Ozil, a capture of the Ivory Coast ace won’t be a bad one for the Gunners owing to the shaky defence that is yet to be solved.

The Mirror says Bailly will not hesitate in having an escape route to North London should an offer be presented for him.

Tottenham are also believed to be in need of a defender having failed to recruit any player this summer due to the stadium project.

Bailly has got the pace, experience and strength to offer to any of the North London side should a move eventually materialize.
