Arsenal prepare £20million for second January transfer signing

According to reports, Arsenal are closely watching Boca Juniors youngster Cristian Pavon.

As reported by the Independent, the North London club have been closely watching the Argentine as he continues to grow in his country home with Boca.

Cristian Pavon has developed immensely in the last few seasons having burst onto limelight with the Argentine side and it has caught the attention of a number of clubs in Europe.

Pavon is reportedly valued at £20million by his side, with his side holding the player in very high regard considering his age and football potential.

It’s suggested that the Gunners see the starlet as a possible perfect replacement for departing Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez, whose Arsenal deal is only a few months away from ending.

However, Pavon’s club aren’t interested in selling one of their most prized assets in the January transfer window, with the side aiming to retain the versatile forward’s services until the season ends at the very least.

The Gunners are thought to be busy in the New Year, as they get set for the inevitable exits of Sanchez and Ozil.

It is widely believed that Arsene Wenger will be successful in convincing one of them to stay at the club beyond January, most likely Mesut Ozil.
