It is glad to see the situation at Manchester United taking shape especially with the future of manager Jose Mourinho looking to be settled at the moment.
Mourinho has been under attack from fans and pundits for the awful performance his side had in the past few weeks with the situation almost repeating itself on Saturday against Newcastle before United pulled off a remarkable comeback from 2 goals down to winning 3-2.
Some hours before the Newcastle game, United’s executive vice-chairman had sent a text message to Mourinho assuring him that he would not be sacked.
United legend Gary Neville thinks the self-proclaim ‘Special One’ should not be treated badly, liking his situation to former manager Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
This according to insinuations has informed the management’s decision to stand by the manager.
Gary said it is wrong to think the former Chelsea boss is a “manager of yesterday” dismissing claims that Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino are today’s managers.
He recall the days of Ferguson at United when former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Rafa Benitez first came to England and Ferguson did not win for some years.
According to him, people thought it was all for the United legend until he turned the situation around with the time that was given to him.
The legend defender described Mourinho as a serial winner who will win at United if given the time.
