Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has narrated how former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic inspired him during their time at the club.
The former Chelsea player spent almost a season together with Ibrahimovic at Manchester United before the Swedish football legend left the club for Major League Soccer (MLS) side LA Galaxy.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic spent almost two seasons at Old Trafford before leaving for the United States of America.
He finished as the Red Devils’ topscorer in his one and only full season at the club with 28 goals in all competitions.
Ibrahimovic signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2016 and he was joined at the club by Lukaku a year later.
Romelu Lukaku told the official website of Manchester United that Zlatan Ibrahimovic taught him how to be competitive.
The Belgian international also revealed how Zlatan Ibrahimovic used to tell him stories about his football career at previous clubs like AC Milan, Juventus and even Ajax Amsterdam.
Lukaku has been in fine form for Manchester United in recent weeks with six goals in his last four games for the club in all competitions.
He’s currently out injured following the foot injury that he sustained during the 2-0 away loss to Arsenal in their Premier League clash.
