Liverpool Boss Backs Solskjaer For Permanent Man Utd Job

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has thrown his weight behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the permanent managerial job at Manchester United.

Ex-Red Devils striker Solskjaer has impressed on his role as the interim manager at the Theatre of Dreams and that has led to widespread calls for him to be named the permanent manager at Old Trafford.

In his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon ahead of the mammoth Premier League clash at Manchester United, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp pointed out how Manchester United are a different team since Solskjaer took over before adding that he deserves the job on a full-time basis.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was made the interim Manchester United manager in December after Jose Mourinho was sacked.

Ex-Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager Mourinho lost his job after the Red Devils’ disastrous start to the season.

His last game was the 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield in the first league meeting between the two clubs.

Since taking the managerial job at Manchester United, Solskjaer has managed the team to 11 victories out of the 13 games played under him.

The only loss of his managerial reign came in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
