Arsenal make transfer decision on Carl Jenkinson

English Premier League outfit Arsenal have made a decision to stop Carl Jenkinson from leaving the club on loan in this winter transfer window.

A number of offers have been submitted for the England international defender but the Gunners boss Unai Emery is of the opinion that he would be needed at the Emirate Stadium for the remaining part of the season.

The North London side are hit with some injuries at the defence department with Rob Holdings and Hector Bellerin currently unavailable which makes them short in that position.

With the already established fact that the Gunners will not be actively involved in this winter transfer window, it will be wise to have Carl Jenkinson remain so as to serve as a cover for the team.

The likes of West Brom, Burnley and Ipswich are reported to have come knocking for the signature of the England international for a loan deal but that has been rejected by the Gunners boss.

It is claimed that Carl Jenkinson has displayed a good attitude in training under the former PSG boss and that has gotten him impressed with a promise to hand him more playing time at the club.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are in the battle of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
