Everton battle Monaco for Sarri’s outcast

Everton are trying all they could to see that Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi ends up at the Goodison Park this month, that’s coming from Sky Sports and talkSPORT presenter Jim White.

The pundit who is known for his reliability said that the Merseyside club are ready to compete with Thierry Henry in the race to sign the Belgian striker before the end of the month.

Despite signing Richarlison from Watford in the summer, Marco Silva’s men are not scoring many goals, much to the displeasure of the former Watford manager.

The pundit, who shares a close relationship with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri, revealed that the Toffees are working hard so as to have the Belgian star at Goodison Park for the rest of the season.

“Everton are working on Michy Batshuayi. They want to bring him there. Whether they can is another matter.” he said.

Batshuayi spent the first half of the season with Spanish side Valencia but it was one to forget as he only scored twice in 25 fixtures in all competitions.
His unimpressive display reportedly led to his contract termination by Valencia and he’s yet to find another suitor for his signature.

However, Monaco manager Thierry Henry is willing to help the former Borussia Dortmund forward regain his beastly form as he wants him in his team.

The former Arsenal striker believes so much in the player’s ability and wants to play a role in helping him become a force to reckon with once again.

The Frenchman had a very good understanding with Batshuayi during his days as Belgian assistant coach, it will be interesting to see how both parties reunite to help Monaco avoid relegation.
