English Premier League side Manchester United are deep in search of a new world class manager that will take over as the club’s coach from the beginning of next season.
The Red Devils parted ways with their former manager Jose Mourinho in December last year owing to the bad results earned under him as well as the controversies that overshadowed his reign as the boss at the beginning of the season.
The Old Trafford side has since appointed an interim coach, a former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has since begun the job on a good note, having won all of the games so far he has handled.
However, a number of managers have been linked with the job with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino named the club’s favorite choice while former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, and former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte are also reported as candidates for the job.
The latest report has now named England national team coach Gareth Southgate as a shock candidate for the job, having proved himself as a good manager with the country’s national team.
Gareth Southgate took the England national team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and reached the semi-finals which is a major boost to his career but it is unsure if he will quit the ‘easy’ job for club side football.
