Chelsea defender in shock Barcelona radar

Out-of-favour West London outfit Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen is latest to be linked with a move to Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.

The Danish defender has not been favored in the Maurizio Sarri led team which ensured his redundancy in the team and that is why he is simply pushing for a move away from the club.

So far this season, Andreas Christensen has only had seven appearances in the Blue jersey but they have all come in league competitions with no one coming from the Premier League or Champions League.

Andreas Christensen has therefore been favored behind Gary Cahill, Antonio Rudiger, and David Luiz in the pecking order.

However, Andreas Christensen could just be seeing his last days as a Chelsea player as he also being linked to a move to Italian Serie A outfit to add to the interest from the Spanish La Liga outfit.

Reports according to The Sun claim Barcelona are serious in their interest in the player and are desperate to land the 22-year-old, as they wish to strengthen their defence.

Barcelona are struggling with the fitness of Samuel Umtiti which leaves Thomas Vermaelen and Clement Lenglet at their only fit player in the role at the moment.
