Liverpool tried to convince £320,000-a-week star to move to Anfield

A new report has revealed that English football club, Liverpool were close to signing world cup star, Kylian Mbappe to Anfield before his breakthrough with Paris Saint Germain.

According to the report, Jurgen Klopp had been monitoring the 19-year-old star right from his much younger age with Monaco.

In fact, Liverpool had gone ahead to table a contract worth £166 million for the young star as they had hope make their young highest earner alongside  Phillipe Coutinho.

However, none of the offers shook him as he went ahead to join Paris Saint Germain instead.

Jurgen Klopp charms were not good enough to pressure the youngster to leave France.

Liverpool defensive midfielder, Fabinho also tried his best to make Kylian Mbappe come with him to Liverpool but it failed to be a reality.

The Brazil international stressed that he is still in talks with Mbappe and still trying to convince him to make a switch away from PSG to England.

Kylian Mbappe has turned out to be one of the very best youngsters in the world, his fame came to a peak when he led France to 2018 world cup in Russia, which earned the country a second world cup trophy.

Tonight, Kylian Mbappe will be playing for PSG against Liverpool in the UCL.
