“It’s a bit soon to talk about offloading him” Chelsea urged not to rush deciding player’s future

ESPN FC football analyst Shaka Hislop has urged West London club, Chelsea, not to rush making a decision about Alvaro Morata’s Stamford Bridge future.

Chelsea wanted Lukaku last summer

Chelsea were heavily linked with a bid to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Merseyside club Everton in 2017.

The Blues lost out to rivals Manchester United after the Belgium international forward Lukaku decided to reunite with Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho in a £75million switch last summer transfer window.

The Blues turned their attention to Alvaro Morata and brought in the Spaniard in a club transfer record £60million deal from Real Madrid.

Massive setback for striker at Chelsea

The striker scored nine goals in his opening eight matches across all competitions but injury setbacks and a loss of form halted his Chelsea progress.

Morata, 24, finished the campaign with 11 goals in 31 matches in the English Premier League this season to fuel rumour surrounding his future at the West London club.

The forward has been strongly linked with a return to Juventus this summer window after less than a year since his move to Stamford Bridge.

Former West Ham safe hand Hislop believes the Chelsea striker shouldn’t be offloaded in the summer transfer window, especially considering given the uncertainty surrounding manager Antonio Conte’s future.
