As per reports in England, Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to turn down the opportunity to manage Chelsea and remain committed to the North London club.
Pochettino set to reject Chelsea’s advances
The Daily Star is claiming that the Argentine manager won’t make the much-speculated switch across London to take over the managerial role at Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.
The Blues are believed to be in search for a new manager with Italian boss Antonio Conte widely thought to be leaving the club at the end of the season.
The same report states that Spurs will reject the Blues’ advances for their talented boss despite the South American’s frustration at a lack of big transfer budget.
Chairman set to release money for transfer
As per the same report, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is set to back Pochettino in the summer transfer market to ensure the ex-Southampton manager stays at the club.
He has led Spurs to the second position in the 2015-16 season before successive third-placed finishes in the past two campaigns to ensure regular UEFA Champions League football.
For all Pochettino’s triumph at Spurs since taking charge at White Hart Lane, the tactician is still waiting to win his first trophy at the side.
