Chelsea Striker Says Conte’s text message was a ‘moment of madness’

Chelsea outcast Diego Costa feels manager Antonio Conte’s decision to inform him he has no future at the club via text message was a “moment of madness.”

The Spaniard, who is currently away from Chelsea’s Cobham HQ training base in a bid to push through a move back to Atletico Madrid said he thinks it was “disrespectful” of Antonio Conte to tell him via such medium.

Costa has been critical of the club that pays his wages, and just last week accused the West London club of treating him “like a criminal” – a claim that was laughed off by the Chelsea boss.

His latest remark comes following the news that his ‘Super agent,’ Jorge Mendes, is working round the clock to seal a return to the La Liga for his client. La Liga side Athletico Madrid seem to be the only club he will consider joining.

Last week, the Spain international striker was pictured training alone wearing a pair of Chelsea FC shorts, but the striker has said he does not plan to return to Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.

The Chelsea outcast also reiterated his desire to return to La Liga side Atletico Madrid, who it has been suggested are offering more than the £32million they sold the player to Chelsea three seasons ago.
