Confirmed! PL club prepare £25m bid for Arsenal star striker

According to The Daily Mirror, Merseyside giant Everton have now prioritized getting Frenchman Olivier Giroud and are willing to foot his bill of £25m to tempt him to Goodison Park.

Everton have been bustling this summer window like they have not done any time recently and have already spent close to £100m but have also profited through the sales of the trio of Lukaku, Deulofeu, and Cleverley.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman is not game to drop his bundle yet and is now chasing after a striker, who can step into Lukaku’s shoes and deliver the much-needed goals.

With forward Ross Barkley also wanting to leave the club, Koeman wants the Giroud and Sigurdsson deals, worth a whopping £75m done as soonest.

Giroud, 30, is a quality but inconsistent striker. He has often found him being at the receiving end of boos from his club fans.

The Frenchman, recurrently Arsenal’s Plan B, has redeemed himself a couple of times by performing well at momentous occasions and slotting inviting balls into the net.

Giroud scored 12 goals in 29 matches in the English Premier League last season but only started 11 games. With the arrival of Lacazette from Olympique Lyon, Giroud will see Arsene Wenger go further close-fisted when it comes to handing him the number nine role.

Though Everton have already secured the services of Wayne Rooney from Manchester United, Koeman fears Rooney is not the same threatening Strikeforce that he used to be at some point in his career.
