Klopp Drops Surprise Hints On Naby Keita: ‘I’m Too Late’

RB Leipzig remains adamant on their stance about talented player Naby Keita. And it seem Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is giving up on the midfielder, going with his recent comments on the situation.

Klopp’s side saw a second bid of £66million rejected on Monday by the German club following their initial unsuccessful offer of £57million for the African star.

Although there were some widespread claims that the Bundesliga club are getting open to allowing Keita leave this summer, the club remained adamant that they don’t intend selling the player now.

The club owner Dietrich Mateschitz has also reaffirmed their decision by indicating that the player will be expected to fulfill his current contract.

However, some people expects Liverpool to launch a third bid of over £70 Million to persuade Leipzig to let go of the Guinea international.

And why not? Since Klopp had proved that he has the ability to smash the club’s transfer record by signing Mohamed Salah and launching those two hefty bids for Keita, then he might bring up one more buoyant offer for Naby.

And when the German boss was speaking in response to the comments of Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz, he told the Liverpool Echo:

“They don’t have to sell players. When I was at Dortmund we always had to sell players.”

“Meanwhile, they don’t have to sell players any more so, obviously, I’m always a little bit too late.”

“What can I say? There’s nothing to say about this.”
