Why I met Arsene Wenger, Ancelotti

Italian Serie A outfit Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that he only held secret talks with former Arsenal boss because of wine and food.

He made this claim while reacting to claims that he had held talks with the former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to become his successor at the Emirates Stadium.

It would be recalled that Italian Serie A outfit Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti was linked with the job at the Emirates Stadium after former manager Arsene Wenger was made to leave the club, with claims that he met the French boss to lobby his way in.

Therefore, the Italian manager is not new to the English Premier League and their teams as he once worked in the league with West London outfit Chelsea and won the North London outfit in four occasions before he left.

However, Carlo Ancelotti will lead Napoli to face the North London outfit Arsenal on Thursday at the Emirates Stadium in the quarter-finals as they hope to go past the Gunners team to secure qualification to the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the North London outfit parted ways with their former manager Arsene Wenger after 22 years of union and was immediately replaced by Spanish manager Unai Emery at the summer of next season.
