Why Barcelona win is no big deal, Mourinho takes swipe at former side

Former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho was expecting Barcelona win over his former team.

After a 1-0 win at the Old Trafford, the Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona delivered another class performance to go 3-0 at the Nou Camp and that was enough to get through to the semi-final.

Argentina international Lionel Messi was a threat to the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team as he scored in the second leg and created a lot of problems.

Jose Mourinho stated that he knew it would be difficult to contain the Argentina intentional, stressing that he is wild and it would require a cage to stop him.

The Portuguese boss noted that it takes more than a man-to-man marking to stop Lionel Messi as he never adopted such against him.

However, the Spanish team will now face another English Premier League side Liverpool in the semi-final of the competition which will come up next month.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils will now focus on securing a top-four finish in the Premier League table so as to stand a chance in playing for the Champions League by next season but they will have to battle Arsenal and Chelsea for the slot.
