Not Van Dijk – Prem League Defender Prepares Leaving Club, Liverpool And Man City Alerted

According to new reports, Southampton star player Ryan Bertrand has told those close to him he is pushing for a move this summer.

And if the speculations are anything to go by, then Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City should be on high alert!

Already, Southampton have been rocked by the news that their skipper Virgil van Dijk has decided to leave the club and join Liverpool. And right now, Daily Mirror claims Bertrand is ready to quit the Saints and has told his friends he will make a move.

Even though various premier league clubs had shown interest in the Englishman, it is understood that Man City are frontrunners to get his signature and have stepped up their interest in Bertrand, since it is not certain they can get Benjamin Mendy from Monaco.

Bertrand moved to Southampton two years ago from Chelsea, and has evolved into a superb talent at the Saints. He began at Chelsea as a youth graduate before progressing into the first-team.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to push for the defender’s signature. However, it is unlikely that Liverpool can get Bertrand considering how Van Dijk is strongly linked with the Anfield club.

The England international has made over 100 appearances for the Saints since 2015.
