Pressure Is On Manchester City – Andy Robertson

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is adamant that the pressure of winning the Premier League title is on defending champions Manchester City.

The Scottish national team captain told BBC Sports that the Citizens are massive favorites to win a second successive Premier League title and that the pressure is on them.

Andy Robertson was reacting to the Reds’ disappointing goalless draw with Merseyside rivals Everton in their Premier League clash at Goodison Park on Sunday evening.

Liverpool created several opportunities but they were unable to break the deadlock against an Everton side that frustrated their rivals for the majority of the game.

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah was the major culprit for the Reds after the Egyptian missed several chances to find the back of the net.

The Egyptian has not scored for Liverpool in his last four games in all competitions including three league games.

His patchy form in front of goal has coincided with a run of three draws and one win from the last four games in the Premier League.

Those draws have made the Reds lose their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

They started the weekend with a one-point lead but their inability to beat Everton ensured that they trail rivals Manchester City by one point at the moment.
