Philippe Coutinho Sets Sights On Chelsea Transfer

Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho is keen to sign for Europa League champions Chelsea during this summer’s transfer window according to a publication from the Daily Express.

The Brazilian international wants to quit Spanish champions Barcelona after a torrid 18 months with the Spanish La Liga giants.

Philippe Coutinho became a Barcelona player in January 2018 following his expensive move from Premier League giants Liverpool.

The Reds could receive as much as £142m including add-ons for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho who left the club in a controversial manner.

Former Inter Milan star Coutinho has been linked with several clubs this summer as he plots a move away from Catalan giants Barcelona.

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and the Premier League duo of Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in the Brazilian player.

Interest in Philippe Coutinho is expected to soar at the end of the ongoing COPA America tournament in his native Brazil.

He started the tournament in the best possible way after netting a brace for the Selecao during the opening game of the tournament which ended in a 3-0 win over Bolivia.

Any possible summer transfer for Coutinho by senior Chelsea officials is dependent on overturning the two-window transfer ban hanging on the club
