Philippe Coutinho makes remarkable recovery to score

Liverpool and Brazil international playmaker Philippe Coutinho returned to his sparkling best for the National team last night and found the back of the net in their 2-0 victory against South America opponent Ecuador.

The 25-year-old midfield maestro submitted an official transfer request last month in an attempt to push through a transfer to La Liga giant FC Barcelona, but the transfer looks dead with the Spanish La Liga transfer window set to slam shut midnight today.

The South American is yet to play in any club competition for Liverpool this new season with Red manager Jurgen Klopp claiming he was nursing a back injury.

The midfielder, however, showed little signs of any injury or pain when he tied up well with Paris Saint Germain star Neymar Jr to score a well-orchestrated goal for Tite’s team.

The unsettled Liverpool star now looks set to remain at Anfield Stadium, but the Reds and Klopp are thought to harbour no ill-feeling towards the talented Brazilian for his desire to join on of the greatest football clubs in World football.

Liverpool will lock horns with rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium after the international break, and the Brazilian is expected to return to Jurgen Klopp’s ting eleven.
