Liverpool Winger Edges Closer To Loan Move

One of the wingers on the books of five-time European champions Liverpool has edged closer to a loan move to English Championship side Reading.

According to the report from the Liverpool Echo, Nigerian-born English winger Ovie Ejaria has traveled to Reading to undergo his medicals at the club ahead of a short-term loan move until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old recently terminated his loan move to Scottish Premiership giants Rangers last month.

Ovie Ejaria failed to adapt to the physical rigors of top flight football in Scotland.

He scored just two goal in 28 appearances for Steven Gerrard and his Rangers team before he season-long loan spell was terminated halfway into it.

Ejaria made eight appearances for the Reds in all competitions before his loan move to Rangers.

His first Liverpool appearance came in the League Cup clash with English Championship club Derby County in 2016.

The young winger is a long way off the Liverpool team at the moment but he could change that by making his mark for Reading in their battle to stay in the second-tier of English football this season.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana, and Xerdan Shaqiri are all ahead of him in the pecking order in the forward positions.
