Niger Tornadoes get new coach

Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side Niger Tornadoes have confirmed Bernard Ogbe as the new head coach of the team.

The former technical adviser to Jos based Mighty Jet FC will now take charge the Niger State owned team in the next NPFL campaign which is expected to kick-start later in the year.

Ogbe, who officially resumes on Tuesday at Minna will take up technical department of the club after finalizing his contract with Tornadoes FC management committee office last week.

The new technical adviser’s deal was completed alongside new chairman of the club Abubakar Mustapha.

The 2018 NPFL season was called off as a result of the crisis that distracted the league from going forward and league leaders, Lobi Stars at the time were given the title.

It is not clear if the new Niger Tornadoes manager was given a target he must win but there are indications he will not be given too much of a time as they will not hesitate to show him the exit door should he fail to perform to expectations.

However, the crisis in the Nigeria football which led to the untimely end of the country’s topflight league has been resolved with Amaju Pinnick declared as the authentic President of the federation.
