Mesut Ozil heading out of Emirates Stadium as he keeps contact with La Liga boss

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil may have given club fans another reason to worry as he disclosed he sometimes keeps in touch with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as he heads into the final months of his contract.

The Germany international attacking midfielder is yet to renew his Arsenal deal, with his present contract set to run out at the conclusion of the current league season as rumour grows over his playing future.

The Daily Mirror have formerly claimed he expects to join Premier League side Manchester United as his next team, while another report from the Mirror linked the midfielder with a possible move to Barcelona.

Still, some of Mesut Ozil’s best form of his playing career came at former side Real Madrid so a return to the Santiago Bernabeu should not be totally ruled out, despite a lack of speculations involving that club.

Ozil, 29, has also heaped praise on Real manager Zidane and said he has some occasional contact with the French tactician.

The German told FootballMgzn, as cited in the Mirror ‘The way he [Zidane] interpreted and directed his game [plan] has fascinated me [Ozil] and still fascinates me[Ozil],’.

The admitted loving Zidane’s technique and creativity. He said as a youth player, he wanted to be like Zidane.
