Liverpool Revive Interest, Set To Sign €50m-rated Playmaker

Champions League winners Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir with the view of signing him during this summer’s transfer window.

The renewed Liverpool interest was confirmed by EuroSport France.

The Reds are in the hunt for a new creative midfielder this summer and they are back for French World Cup winner Nabil Fekir whom they came close to signing last summer.

Nabil Fekir was almost a Liverpool player at the start of the just concluded campaign after the Reds agreed on a €50m transfer with French Ligue 1 giants Lyon for him only for the newly crowned Champions League winners to pull out of the deal at the last minute.

Liverpool withdrew from a possible deal for Nabil Fekir as a result of long-term concerns about his knee.

The Lyon star was able to recover from the blow of a failed transfer to play his part for France as they won a second World Cup title last month.

Nabil Fekir and France defeated all-comers to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia last summer.

France won the trophy by beating surprise finalists Croatia 4-2 in the final.

Liverpool are back in the hunt for Nabil Fekir and they might have a big problem since they are only willing to pay €30m for the player.
