Liverpool Ready To Bring In Either €125m Star or €40m Star Before Thursday

The transfer window is closing next week and even though Liverpool have rejected numerous hefty offers from Barcelona for their star player Philippe Coutinho, there are still speculations in Spain that the samba star could still depart this window.

Spanish news outlet Diario Gol made it known that the Catalan giants have offered to send the likes of Turan, Rafinha and Gomes to Anfield to sweeten the deal, but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is not interested in any of them.

Instead, Diario Gol said Klopp is ready to sign an immediate replacement and wants the La Liga heavyweights to sell either Ivan Rakitic or Sergi Roberto if they are to get Phil.

Rakitic is a superb midfielder who has grown into one of the best midfielders in the world following his move to Camp Nou from Sevilla. The Croatian international is an important member of the Barcelona team and he will definitely improve Liverpool should he make the move.

Ivan signed a new deal with Barcelona back in March with a release clause of €125M.

Sergi Roberto is also a talented versatile midfielder that played in the right-back position last term. His current contract at Camp Nou is meant to expire in 2019 and it has a release clause of €40m.

The summer transfer window is closing very soon and all decisions must be made quickly.

Rakitic is not a world class midfielder , scores the odd superb goal like Can , but in my opinion the weak link in Barcelonas midfield . We need to keep Coutinho no matter what ( yes he will play brilliant once his sulking ends and reality kicks in ) , get a defender and wait for Keita ( if he still wants us next season) , otherwise a similar type player . Better to build this squad patiently with the right players than buy any half decent players now
