Liverpool Plotting €25m Summer Move For Bundesliga Star

Premier League title chasers Liverpool are eyeing a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Julian Brandt ahead of the resumption of this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to widespread reports in the media.

The specific publication from FourFourTwo claimed that the Reds want to sign the young German international.

Julian Brandt has been in very good form for Bayern Leverkusen this season in their quest for a Europa League spot at the end of this German Bundesliga season.

The 22-year-old has scored seven goals in addition to 14 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.

The aforementioned report also said that the player has a €25m release clause in his current contract with Bayern Leverkusen.

His release clause is within the range of Liverpool who are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the next transfer window this summer.

Liverpool have had a phenomenal season in both the Champions League and the Premier League but they are still keen to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

The Reds are at the summit in the Premier League and they have a two-point lead over nearest challengers Manchester City though they have played a game more than the Citizens.

They are also in the Champions League quarterfinals where they have beaten Portuguese champions FC Porto 2-0 at home in the first leg.
