Klopp Finally Blocks Star Defender Transfer

Liverpool defender Rafael Camacho won’t leave the club on loan in this transfer window despite the numerous interests in his services.

It was revealed that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is not willing to lose any member of his squad in the midst of an injury crisis defensively.

The German tactician has seen his squad reduced to the bare bones defensively due to the injuries to the central defensive duo of Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren.

Liverpool and Klopp have already allowed England right-back Nathaniel Clyne to join Bournemouth on a short-term loan deal till the end of this season in addition to the permanent transfer of young striker Dominic Solanke to the South Coast club.

Bournemouth paid an initial fee of £19m to sign Solanke.

Portuguese right-sided defender Rafael Camacho was poised to join Portuguese Super League club Sporting Lisbon on loan but that move is off following the new stance taken by Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.

Camacho impressed a great deal for Liverpool in their last game, a 2-1 loss at the hands of fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in a FA Cup third round clash.

The 18-year-old was given a rare Liverpool start and he justified his inclusion in the team despite ending on the losing end.
