Journalist Confirms Rangers’ Interest In Liverpool Striker

Respected journalist Andy Walker has confirmed that Scottish Premier League giants Rangers are interested in signing Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke ahead of the mid-season transfer window billed to start as from next month.

Andy Walker talked about the Nigerian-born England international striker and Rangers via the Transfer Talk podcast on popular English media platform Sky Sports.

He also pointed out that Rangers need to also strengthen their defence if they want to maintain their push for the Scottish Premier League title.

Solanke, 21, has rarely featured for Liverpool in the last six months thus prompting talks of a move away from the club in January.

The young attacker has not played for Liverpool this season and this is in stark contrast to the last campaign when he featured in 27 appearances in all competitions including 21 league matches.

He found the back of the net once for the Reds last term.

Dominic Solanke joined Liverpool last summer on a free transfer from rivals Chelsea in the wake of his heroics for England at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament.

He won the best player award as England secured their first World Cup title at the U-20 level.

Dominic Solanke became a full England international under manager Gareth Southgate last season.
