Chelsea Target Dropped For El Clasico

Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon has been left out of the European champions’ squad for the El Clasico clash with rivals Barcelona on Wednesday night.

Real Madrid will host Barcelona at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in what is the second leg of their Copa Del Rey round of eight clashes.

Barcelona are the defending champions but they were only able to play a 1-1 draw in their home leg on the 6th of February.

Isco recently returned to Real Madrid training having missed some games with a back injury but he has been dropped from the 20-man squad for the Barcelona game.

Isco has struggled to make a big impact on the Real Madrid team under Santiago Solari since the former club winger was made the manager towards the end of last year.

The Spanish international could leave the Bernabeu this summer with Premier League sides like Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea keen on a move for the ex-Malaga playmaker.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos returns to the Real Madrid squad after missing the Levante game in the league due to suspension.

Gareth Bale scored the winning goal from the spot in the 2-1 victory at Levante and he’s expected to start from the bench just like he did against Levante.
