Liverpool On The Verge Of Completing Summer Move for Real Madrid Hero

Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign Iker Casillas this summer, according to reports.

The former Real Madrid left the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015 in favor of a move to Porto and has been a solid figure for the Portuguese giants.

Liverpool are believed to be in the market for a new goalkeeper after Jurgen Klopp became dissatisfied by the performances of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet during the last campaign.

Reports in the Spanish outlet, AS claim that the Reds have begun efforts to lure Casillas to the Anfield and might have even agreed a deal that will materialise when the summer transfer window opens.

It is understood that the Spaniard has received several offers from clubs in Europe and China but the 36-year-old will prefer to join Liverpool due to the chances of playing for a top Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp is believed to be keen on landing Casillas this summer in a bid to have an experienced goalkeeper in his squad next season as they prepare to play in the Champions League for the first team in as many seasons.

The Spanish shot-stopper has wonderful experience in the Champions League, winning competition three times at Real Madrid among other laurels.
