Football journalist makes big claim on Ozil’s future

It has been a mixed feeling when talks of Mesut Ozil’s future is raised at North London outfit Arsenal.

It has been speculated severally that the German international would be sent out of the club for failing to deliver good performance despite his big weekly wage.

It is also believed that he is not liked by manager Unai Emery because of attitude and little contribution to the team.

However, German Football journalist Raphael Hongistein has hinted that the former Real Madrid star could remain and not go anywhere this summer transfer window as speculated.

He noted that the bid by the Gunners to have him sold to free their wage bill and also raise money to sign new player might not happen.

Raphael Hongistein again stressed that Mesut Ozil has a contract running with the Gunners and there is no way he can be sent packing.

However, Mesut Ozil has been linked to a move to China and Turkey but that seems not to interest him as he seeks to remain at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will still have a budget of £40 million to be able to sign new players but that would have been more if Mesut Ozil is placed in the market.
