EPL: Naby Keita Sets New Liverpool Record

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has set a new club record for the fastest goal scored in the Premier League era following his goal during the 5-0 thumping of Huddersfield Town on Friday night.

Keita and Liverpool showed no mercy as they scored five unreplied goals at home against a Huddersfield Town side that will finish the season at the foot of the Premier League table.

Liverpool opened the scoring inside the first minute through the aforementioned Naby Keita for the fastest Premier League goal in the Reds’ history.

The Guinean international player scored after 15 seconds to give Liverpool the lead in a must-win game.

He pounced on an error from Slovenian international center back to give the hosts the lead off the assist from Egyptian international Mohamed Salah.

Naby Keita has now scored three goals in four weeks for Liverpool having waited for several months to hit his first goal for the Reds since his £55m from German club RB Leipzig last summer.

Senegalese international star Sadio Mane then scored a second Liverpool goal midway into the first half before Salah wrapped up a 3-0 halftime lead with a third goal just before the interval.

Mane and Salah scored again in the second half to make it a comprehensive win for the hosts who secured Premier League summit as a result of the thumping win.
